Presenting
Presenter & Interviewer
In November 2021, Anna Trombetta stood as the Online Presenter of the 54th International Vocal Competition (IVC) Lied Edition, a role that asked for live introduction and recorded interviews prepared in tandem with the IVC. Through this experience she had the pleasure of interviewing renowned mezzo-soprano Dame Sarah Connolly, tenor Howard Haskins, Dutch mezzo-soprano Jard van Nes, composer Bart Visman and laureates of the IVC.
After the success of her presenting debut, Trombetta has sought out more and more chances to lead interviews and present for musical organizations. In April 2022, she led a (pre-recorded) interview with composer Samuel Adams for a concert of his music at the KleineZaal at the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam in cooperation with the Conservatorium van Amsterdam. Anna specializes in presenting in the classical music sphere.
Work
Social media collaboration with The Concertgebouw during the Mahler Festival. Four videos were recorded on different aspects of Mahler’s life and music.
Anna has worked closely with the International Vocal Competition since 2021, when she first presented their LiedDuo competition. Recently, she presented the 57th IVC Opera & Oratorio Semi-Finals and Finals. For the IVC, she has also (live) interviewed renowned names in the industry, including Dame Sarah Connolly, tenor Howard Haskin, and pianist Hans Eijsackers as well as participants throughout the competition week.
Alongside her work with external organizations, OperaAnna serves as a creative outlet for Anna and continues to inform her singing work in classical music. Born out of a desire to share both informative AND fun content around opera, OperaAnna has grown into a recognizable name in the industry and beyond and continues to grow.
